Domaine les Remparts
Gascony \\ France
A small Gascon farm, run by the Marcellin brothers, Médéric and Silas. Their mother planted the vines in 2003 and a cellar was completed in 2007. Silas is the winemaker, having trained in both Bordeaux and New Zealand.
They farm sustainably, wines are made with a soft touch and only lightly filtered. The Marcellins take a laid-back approach, relishing the relative lack of structure in Gascony and making fresh, fruity wines that you want to return to. So, when we got together to make some wines with them, we wanted to celebrate that easy-going style. Herein La Bonne Franquette, a relaxed, juicy gamut of wines from an underestimated corner of France.
